Text Messaging allows you to send SMS messages of up to 160 characters* per message to other UK mobile phone and landline numbers. You can text either from your mobile handset or from your computer.
Texting is fun, and is a great alternative to making a voice call if you're in a noisy place or if you don't want others to overhear your conversation.

Text friends or family abroad
You can send text messages to other mobile phones around the world in the same way that you can to mobiles in the UK. Please see our International Prices for rates on International Text Messaging.
Web Text
Web Text allows you to send text messages from your computer. For some people, this might be a faster way to send a text message. You can also send the same text to a group of people simultaneously, but please note that you are charged for each person you send a text message to!
All text messages sent by Web Text are charged at the same low rate as texts sent from your mobile phone.
To start using Web Text, sign into your account.
*Note: Some handsets allow formatting changes to be made to SMS e.g. change language, UNICODE etc. This could mean that an SMS containing fewer than 160 characters, if written in standard English text, may exceed 160 in another format.
How to activate: Text Messaging is always active and available to all customers.
